ServiceNow Otto Has Arrived: What's Changing in Community and What It Means for You

We're updating parts of the Community to reflect the introduction of ServiceNow Otto, our new AI experience for work. As these updates roll out, you may have seen product hubs, navigation items, forums, blogs, and other Community experiences move from Now Assist branding to ServiceNow Otto branding.

Most importantly: this change does not affect your licensing, entitlements, or existing access.

Why the Change?

ServiceNow Otto brings together capabilities that were previously spread across three different experiences:

  • Now Assist: Our GenAI-powered skills built into workflows
  • AIx: AI Web Agents, AI Voice Agents, Data Explorer, and AI Lens
  • Moveworks from ServiceNow: Conversational AI for employees

All three now live under one AI assistant on the ServiceNow AI Platform. As part of that evolution, we're updating Community experiences and content to align with the new naming and make it easier to find what you need.

What's Changing on Community?

  • The Now Assist Product Hub has become the ServiceNow Otto Product Hub.
  • The Now Assist for Creator Product Hub has become ServiceNow Otto for Creator.
  • Page titles, URLs, navigation labels, headers, forums, blogs, and article sections are being updated.
  • New banners and messaging are rolling out to help members navigate the transition.

You'll also start seeing new content, resources, and discussions using ServiceNow Otto terminology going forward.

What's Not Changing?

  • Your existing licenses and entitlements
  • Your access to products and capabilities you already own
  • Existing Community content and historical discussions
  • Your Community profile, subscriptions, and participation history

Will Older Content Still Say Now Assist, AIx, or Moveworks?

Yes, and that's expected. We're not going back and re-recording or rewriting everything that already exists. Historical content will keep its original naming, even as new content going forward uses ServiceNow Otto.

Where it makes sense, we'll link older assets to newer ServiceNow Otto content so you can connect the dots, but you'll still run into "Now Assist" (and occasionally AIx or Moveworks) in things we published before this update. That's normal, not a mistake.

Do I Need to Purchase Anything New?

No. If you're already using capabilities associated with Now Assist, AIx, or Moveworks, this naming update doesn't require any action on your part. The changes you're seeing are focused on branding, navigation, and helping you find information under the new ServiceNow Otto experience: your licensing and entitlement path is unchanged.

If you have specific questions about your organization's subscriptions or services, reach out to your ServiceNow account team for guidance tailored to your environment.

We'll keep sharing updates as new information becomes available.

The Bottom Line:

If you've noticed the shift from Now Assist (or AIx, or Moveworks) to ServiceNow Otto on Community, your access, licensing, and entitlement status aren't changing. We're updating go-forward branding to reflect the new ServiceNow Otto experience, but older content stays as it was published.
