How can I send emails to group email mailbox, and not to all of the members of the group?

Hi SNC,

I know there are some topics around that, but I found no answer still.

Is there a way that SNow can send notifications to a group mailbox, instead of sending a TO messege to all of the members of the group? I am using MS Exchange distribution groups.

Hi Davina

Notification preferences wont turn off all notification sending. It can turn off only your selected one notification preference.

Ah apologies... ok... from the UI Action you can unsubscribe to notifications... I thought you were talking about deactivating the notifications on the user record from the dropdown on the user record and selecting disable.

The only issue with the unsubscribe approach is that each user would have to unsubscribe whereas setting the group email will solve it for all. This would answer the initial question.

Many ways to skin a cat!

If I am not wrong , the Email id of group will contains all of its members email ids . either way , it will go to members only..

From the who will receive tab select the group and dot walk to the group email for example:

Also... I came across this article which shows that having a group emil in the field caused the email to be sent to the mailbox rather than the members... I haven't tested this but hopefully this thread will give you the right answer!
