How Can We Send a Dashboard as Email?

Hi All,

I was wondering, how can I send a configured Daily Dashboard as an email to recipients and also how can it be a scheduled email?

It would be of great help if someone could help me out with this.

I don't think you can easily, because the dashboard is rendered in the client. There is a print to PDF option, but I would have to research if that can be automated... but you can email all the reports that make up a dashboard in a single email.

Thank you Ken for taking the time out to answer my query.

I have already scheduled all the reports to be sent as one email, but now the requirement is to have all those reports in once PDF. So I could only think of a dashboard. I can export the dashboard as a PDF but the requirement is to send it as a Scheduled email.

Would be really grateful if you could check from your end if a dashboard can be scheduled as an email or even if not scheduled, can it directly be sent as a PDF attached in an email manually?

Helsinki [Edit: Fuji and Geneva too] has the functionality to manually create a PDF from a dashboard and even email it. I haven't had a chance to see if it is possible to schedule it yet.

Hi Ken,

This link   Export a homepage or dashboard to PDF that you mention above, does indicate Helsinki has the ability to manually create a PDF from a dashboard.

However the path is :- Home  / Helsinki /  Performance Analytics and Reporting / Dashboards / Using dashboards / 

meaning that Performance Analytics is a pre-req.

This functionality also exists in Fuji and Geneva.
