How do I add a Performance Analytics widget to a Platform Analytics dashboard

I've set up a Platform Analytics dashboard:

I'm wanting to add Performance Analytics widgets from one normal dashboard onto my Platform Analytics dashboard:

However, what I've noticed on the Platform Analytics dashboard is that when I click on 'Add new element', I can't find the relevant option:

If I select Data visualization and look at the visualization type list, I can't see one for adding a Performance Analytics widget:

Can somebody explain how I include Performance Analytics widgets one normal dashboard onto my Platform Analytics dashboard?

You must have the appropriate role described there. As 'admin' (with both the pa_power_user  and pa_admin roles) I can do that.

You're confusing Performance Analytics and Platform Analytics. 

They want to take a widget that was build in Performance Analytics (the KBA/SOP you linked) and put it into a Platform Analytics dashboard.

I'm looking for an answer to this as well. Our company started using Performance Analytics mid-last year and now we're starting to use Platform Analytics too. 

We need to be able to have data visualizations that can be placed on both.

After much playing in Platform Analytics, I found the process for adding a Performance Analytics metric to a Platform Analytics dashboard.

 

  1. Create a New visualization
  2. In the Add Data Source left nav, select the section for indicatorsDianeTurner_1-1726841947898.png

     

After adding the data source, some of the other visualization options are available.  Which options are available depend on the visualization type selected and the data available for the PA indicator.  For example, if there isn't a breakdown on the indicator, then group by won't be available.  If there are breakdowns on the indicator, then the list of the breakdowns are the group by options.
