How do I correctly configure the "New" button in a list in the UI Builder?

Good day, folks.

I just found out that the " New " button in a list in the UI Builder is not automatically configured. And after going through the learning modules and the documentations, I couldn't find exactly how to correctly configure this button and to make it create a new record in the list.

Would anyone have any idea how to do that?

I encountered an unexpected problem: After creating the script, the UI Builder wouldn't let me save the change at all. Have you ever encountered anything like this?

the only time I encountered an issue like this is when I tried working while the instance was being upgraded. Are you still encountering the issue?

Yes, I'm still encountering the issue.

Immediately after I added the "Open Record from List" script, I'm no longer able to save any changes. What's also confusing is that I got the San Diego version right when I got my current instance, so I never needed to upgrade my instance.
