How do I modify the default currency symbol?

Hi,

I was able to modify the symbols to distinguish Australian Dollar (A$), Canadian Dollar, (C$), Singapore Dollar (S$) and American Dollar ($) ...BUT it is defaulting to American Dollar for now. How can I change it to, let's say, Singapore Dollar?

Thanks,

Dor

Answering my own post (under another account) from 2015. Spied a ServiceNow Support article and thought I'd reference here in case it helps anyone ...

https://support.servicenow.com/kb?id=kb_article_view&sysparm_article=KB0623300

(makes a reference to the chimerical sys_locale which seems to have never been mentioned in the main product documentation)

I believe what you are looking for is here:

http://wiki.servicenow.com/index.php?title=Defining_Locales#gsc.tab=0

Also I found that if you need specific users to use a default currency you can do this as well:

http://wiki.servicenow.com/index.php?title=Localizing_Price_in_the_Service_Catalog#Using_Locales

If this is something you don't want users to change I would lock it down using ACL's.

But those wiki pages still don't address multiple currency outside of Service Catalog, that is, it isn't the whole picture, what about itil role users viewing costs on Asset, Finance, Projects forms etc.

To my knowledge the sys_locale table isn't mentioned or referenced on the Wiki.

Granted though for the majority of instances, and maybe Salvador included, only a default currency and support for multiple currencies within Catalog will be sufficient.
