How do we track the variable updates in Service Catalog

Hi,

I have a scenario where I have some variables in a Service Catalog, and three are 3 group approvals. All of the groups receive the approvals at once. Now, is there a way track which user updated which variable? Kindly help.

Please elaborate. The variables are filled on submitting the catalog item, right?

Hi @Mark Manders,

I raised a request for the catalog item. It is received by 3 groups for approval at once (all the members of all groups can change the variable values). Now suppose the first group made some changes to the variables to the existing request. and saved the form, Then first group approved it. Second group and third groups too opened the request and see that the variable values are changed. Now is there a way to track who changed it and what was the value of the variables before.

Just stop with the entire process!!

You are asking people to approve something that can be changed by others? Group A approves based on the values given and then Group B changes those values. This is the worst possible way to handle approvals and it would fail on every audit that will ever be done.
