How does location.affected notification triggers

Hi, I wanted to ask some question regarding the location.affected notification how does this notification triggers?

Name : Affected location notifications

Table : Task

Notification Name: Affected location notifications

Trigger Condition:   javascript:new AffectedUtils().hasAffected(current, "task_location", "task");

It means if this task have any related records in the  "task_location" table?

then it triggers the Business rule and then notification
