How is Active/Inactive status set on cmdb_sam_sw_install table?

Hi Team,

 

We have a question regarding the Software Installation table (cmdb_sam_sw_install). There is a status field called Active/Inactive on this table, and we are trying to understand where this information is coming from...

Our source system (Nexthink) is definitely not sending Active/Inactive data, so we suspect that some job, process, or internal logic in ServiceNow might be setting this field to true or false.

Could you please guide us on:

  • What determines the Active/Inactive status for software installations?
  • Is there any scheduled job, business rule, or SAM process that updates this field?

Any pointers or documentation references would be greatly appreciated.
