Hi Community,
How are notifications managed in lower instances to prevent them from triggering for end users?
Thanks in advance!

Usually in DEV instance email sending is disabled in email properties
In TEST instance usually it's the email address of testing team users so that they can verify the email content, layout etc
In PROD it's enabled so that end users receive emails
Hope this answers your query

Hi @Astik Thombare ,
We usually have PROD, DEV and TEST instances, were servicenow by default suggests and disables notifications(email notifications) in test and dev instances, to avoid unwanted emails to reach prod people as it creates unwanted confusion in the work.
Servicenow disabled EMAIL Notifications in PDI's as well.
To manage the notifications as @Ankur Bawiskar and @Aniket Chavan said. You can navigate to email properties and modify them as required @Astik Thombare .
I hope this additional information helps you in understanding more about email notifications @Astik Thombare .
If my response helps you in any way please mark it as accepted solution or helpful @Astik Thombare .
Thanks & Regards,

As Ankur and other already replied, but also in some cases client want to see what the email look like. So what we did / you can do, is activate the property and in email, you can add any share box email ID, which is just for testing purposes. This can be used during the UAT phase as well.
If my response proves useful, please indicate its helpfulness by selecting " Accept as Solution" and " Helpful." This action benefits both the community and me.
