How to Add Hint on a form field

Is there a way to always show a hint on a string field on a form????

I tried to do this but I wanted it to always be visible. I do not want to click on the ? icon.

Anyone help me out????

HI,

To do this (always show hint on field) you may need to add a show field message using an onload client  like below. 

Hints only show on hover and on catalog items there is a way to show the help but not on form fields.

I already tried this but the customer wants the msg to go inside the field.

Maybe you can look at adding a url, and link that to a ui page. that shows user there is some text there but they need to click on it. 

EG, priority on Incident

Can't think of any other smart and oob way to do it.
