How to configure new record in Search Result Display Configuration?

Hi Experts,

 

I want to create a sc_task record in Search Result Display Configuration. currently the table does not let me create new records. Has anyone done anything similar before?

Hi @saint saint,

If the New or Insert and Stay options are not available in Search Result Display Configuration table (cxs_search_result_fields), it usually means the table is application-controlled or read-only in your instance. Many of these records are delivered out-of-box and protected, so direct creation is disabled.

Hi @saint 

 

Instead of creating a new record, try to update an existing configuration: 
  1. In Navigation type to Search Result Display Configuration (or simply cxs_search_result_fields.list in the navigator).
  2. Look for a record that already references sc_task (Catalog Task).
  3. If an OOB record exists, attempt to Update it rather than create a new one. 
  4. If nothing you are getting , Create New.
