How to create custom dashboards for itil users only

I have created a dashboard with roles as itil and itil admin

How to show this dashboard for itil users only

when an itil user login then they must see this dashboard as welcome screen

Hi Rahul,

The roles selected there will be only to restrict the access to dashboard. That doesn't make the welcome screen to ITIL users.

They need to select the dashboard here as per in below screenshot to show it in homescreen

how to select automatically or do we need to write script if yes where can I write can you please tell me

Once the itil user selects the required dashboard in homepage, from then the same dashboard will be automatically selected even if they logout and login back.

Its like user preference. Individual user needs to select that in homepage once.

Hi Rahul,

You need to create a record in User Preferences.

Navigate to System Administration >> User Preferences 

You need to create an entry as below

Leave the User field empty so that it applies to all. Replace the sys_id of homepage in the value field. You can get the value of page from  Homepage Admin >> Pages
