how to customize data policy exception message

There is a policy to make state field read-only.

Whenever a user goes to list page and tries to update the state. SNOW gives exception "Data policy Exception: State is read only".

Is there a way to customize is this message.

Hi,

I am not sure whether any user has access to change the Data Policy Message behavior. Instead of a Data Policy you can configure a Write Operation ACL which would serve the purpose of making the Read Only and the message will also not get displayed. ACL would be the best option to provide write access to a field both on the form as well on the List View.

Data policy and a ACL are 2 different feature where one cannot replace the other.
