How to Exempt Specific Users from Okta Authentication in ServiceNow QA Environment?

Hello,

In our ServiceNow QA environment, we are using Okta as the SSO provider. However, for certain users, we need to bypass Okta authentication and allow direct login to ServiceNow without requiring the additional authentication step.


Questions:

1. How can we configure ServiceNow to exempt specific users from Okta authentication while keeping it enabled for others?


2. Is it possible to manage this exemption based on roles or user attributes?


3. What changes are needed in the multi-provider SSO configuration or Okta settings to achieve this?


4. Can this configuration be limited to the QA environment without affecting other environments like production?

 

Any guidance on implementation steps or best practices would be greatly appreciated.

Is Account Recovey enabled - I'm assuming adaptive authentication is?
