Hi @Alon Grod ,
I think you are in wrong place.
If you want to create a UI policy for catalog you need to be in the Catalog UI Policies.
Search for Catalog UI Policies in the navigation bar
(OR)
the other way around is you can go to the specific catalog item and in the related list there would be Catalog UI Policy. You can create Catalog UI Policies from there as well.
Mark Helpful if it helps in resolving your problem.

I dont want to add on the catalog item. After submitting a request using catalog item, a task has been created in sc_task table. On this task, I have a field and I want to make this field visible only when specific variable is populated with specific value during the process of submitting the request.

Hi @Alon Grod ,
in that case i would suggest you to use applies on Catalog Task option. This will make sure that the Catalog UI Policy will work only on SC_Task.
Let me know if it resolves your query.

Go to the catalog item on which you want to add an ui policy,
Navigate to the related list tabs - Catalog UI Policies (If there is no related list, configure it)
Click new and create your policies.
Other Way
Navigate to Catalog ui policies from application navigator
Click New
Select the catalog item on which you want to write an ui policy
Save the policy
Navigate to its related list where you can find catalog ui policy actions
click new and create your policy actions
Please mark correct if my response has solved your query.
Cheers,
Mohammed Basheer Ahmed.
