How to install Build Agent (Trial) on a PDI when Store access is limited?

I noticed that the Build Agent (Trial) app has just gone live on the ServiceNow Store and this looks really interesting and I want to trial this on my PDI rather than on the companys instances.

It mentions that “On a Personal Developer Instance, your instance will receive 10 free user interactions instead of 25.”

How do we actually install this on a PDI, given that developer instances don’t usually have full access to the ServiceNow Store unless you’re linked to a customer account?

Has anyone managed to get it working yet, or know if there’s an alternative way to activate or test it on a PDI?

It would be great to hear if anyone’s tried this already or if ServiceNow has shared any plans around it.

Is your PDI in Zurich Patch 1 or Yokohama Patch 8?

i've done some research on my end and the PDI instance version is still on "zurich-07-01-2025__patch0-07-15-2025_07-23-2025_1759". 

I understand that we need to be on Zurich Patch 1 or Yokohama Patch 8, and then sync up the store via Application Manager, where you can see and install the updates.  

I couldn't see any way to upgrade my current PDI instance, whereas before I could. Is this something we now have to wait for?

Try to upgrade your PDI to patch 1, and then sync your application manager.

I am not able to see any option to upgrade to Patch 1 in the developer site.
