In the SNOW wiki it says that "journal_list fields do not allow or store input; they merely display the contents of other Journal fields upon which the journal_list field is dependent. If a journal_list field is dependent on more than one Journal field, it will chronologically interweave those fields' inputs." I want to combine two or three journal fields under a journal list, but I can't figure out how to make the journal list dependent on more than one journal field. I created the journal fields and the journal list field, but when I try to configure the journal list field to be dependent on the the journal fields, it only lets me select one. Any ideas?

Hi Breyton,
I think the Journal list is dependent only on one Journal field. The statement multiple journal fields seems like to be indicating multiple entries of a particular journal field. Like in my below cast I have message list (Journal List) dependent on Journal field (Message)

I don't think this is the case. That would make the journal list completely pointless.

I have to admit I'm curious about this one. I've always wondered, but never had an excuse to figure out the difference between Journal field, Journal Input field, and Journal List.
I added a journal field called "My Journal", a journal input field called "My Journal Input" and a journal list field called "Journal List". Here's what I found
- The Journal list is much like a limited activity formatter
- Input to the My Journal field shows up in the Journal List by default
- If I set the dependent field on the Journal List dictionary to My Journal OR My Journal Input, both show up in the Journal List (haven't figure out the logic there yet.)
I haven't figured out why I would ever use a Journal List or why a Journal over a Journal Input field yet.
Here's a screen grab from Helsinki with the Journal List above the Journal and Journal input fields.

I think that the journal list is designed to display the contents of multiple journal fields and interweave them into one big journal (Just like the activity formatter). This would be useful for me because I want to create an overall summary of the information in multiple journals for an email template. I know it is possible to make a journal list dependent on multiple journals because one of our tables has a journal list configured to be dependent on two journal fields. I just can't replicate it for the life of me.
