How to make Resource Plan field mandatory in Time Sheet portal

Hi All,

When we add Time Card to Time sheet , there is Resource Plan field as shown in below screenshot. I want to make it as mandatory field. I have made it mandatory for Form view. But I do not know how to do it for Time sheet portal. Please help.

Hi @Talya ,

You can create a Data Policy on Time card table to making that field mandatory. As normal UI policy wont work with Time sheet portal. I tried creating one and have attached the screenshots, let me know if you are struck somewhere.

Hi @Mark Angelo Pae this was my final Data Policy and it does not allow submission of the time card if the rate type field is empty. Not sure if this is what you were looking for.

I had created a data policy to make a field mandatory in time sheet portal. Its working fine in Time Sheet Portal but its effects in Native UI time cards even i uncheck the UI Policy on Client. Did you face this issue same?

Hi All,
what is the impact of no resource plan selected in a timecard. Currently, the Resource Plan field is not mandatory when submitting time cards on the Time Sheet Portal. Please check if there is an impact on actual costs if the Resource Plan is attached or not to the time cards.
