how to put placeholder text on a string variable that is overwritten when text is entered in the field?

Is it possible to place text in a string variable like in the screenshot?  This is not default text, but rather a "suggestion" for the text to be entered...and this needs to work in Service Portal.  thanks!

Wouldn't the easiest way to do this be just add the Show Help field, which you are already showing for Show Description and make it always expanded?

Under the variable in question on the record producer, you can add some example text which will render the same as your example above and works both in the service catalog and service portal.

thanks for the feedback...yep I know text can be displayed below the field using the help text...just looking to see if it's possible to put it in the field like the screenshot per a client's requirement.
