how to put placeholder text on a string variable that is overwritten when text is entered in the field?

Is it possible to place text in a string variable like in the screenshot? This is not default text, but rather a "suggestion" for the text to be entered...and this needs to work in Service Portal. thanks!

Using the example text field on the variable will achieve this for you patrick.

Is there a similar feature for a reference type field/variable, i.e. to be able to display a preemptive text on a reference type field/variable?
