Context : Pattern based service maps have a "Send for review" button, which triggers a review task and process though which application owners review the map and add their comments. But for tag based maps this "Send for review" option is not available.
Issue: If someone have implemented Service mapping for their customer, specially tag based service mapping please help me with the following queries:
1) How do we review tag based application maps.
2) Do usually tag based maps looks flat.
3) Can we perform pattern based mapping for cloud applications, or we only have to do tag based mapping for cloud application.
4) please share any useful link or resource, if possible which could be helpful.
Thanks

Hi @BillyS and for anyone facing the same issue
Sorry for the late response, I hope you're issue has been resolved yet.
Here is what I learned from my experience, the answers to the above questions are.
1) How do we review tag based application maps.
Ans) We need to connect with the business owners, and engage them in manual review process. This could be done by one-on-one connect or though email communication. Provide them the list of CIs in the service map, and ask them to go though it and review it. Use "List CIs" and "List tagged CIs" related link on the application service record form to get the list of CIs.
2) Do usually tag based maps looks flat.
Ans) Yes, they do look flat. But it totally depends upon the resources used and there relationships, which is something we cannot do much about. Whatever relationship and resources are present in the CBDB, and are tagged, they will be shown in the map. Additionally we can go to "Traversal rules [svc_traversal_rules]" table to modify which relationships to include or omit in the tag-based map.
3) Can we perform pattern based mapping for cloud applications, or we only have to do tag based mapping for cloud application.
Ans) When dealing with cloud based applications and resources, we must go for tag-based service mapping. I'm not 100% sure, weather we can perform pattern based mapping on cloud resources or not, but I believe we cannot and should not.
Thanks,
Hope this helps.
