how to set landing page differently for different users based on audience in SOW

Hi All,

I am always landing onto the Service desk landing page SNC even though I have update the order of the Tier2/3 specialist landing page SNC  to match with the service desk page.

How can I make an user to land on 'tier2/3 page' when the user opens SOW.

Looks like, itil role is mandatory to have access to SOW and this is causing to match the audience of Service desk landing page and making it as default.

I need to have separate landing page for different set of users.

please suggest.

  1. Navigate to All > Workspace Experience > Administration > Landing pages and click the landing page you want to set permissions on.
  2. On the UX Page Element Permissions tab, click New.
  3. On the form, fill in the fields.
     
    Field Description
    ElementLanding page name.
    RoleRole, if any, a user must have to see the landing page. Click the search icon and select a role.
    GroupGroup, if any, a user must belong to to see the landing page. Click the search icon 

     

    and select a group.
    ApplicationScope of these landing page permissions. Global is the default.

     

  4. Click Submit.
  5. Repeat the procedure starting with step 2 to add other roles or groups that restrict who can see the landing page.

    Even though multiple landing pages might have the same Order value, users may see different landing pages based on their roles or the groups they belong to.

Hi Sejal,

Thank you for your suggestion. Actually I am trying to understand how the landing page is getting shown up based on the roles of an user.

In PDI, I have created an user and gave itil role. When I impersonated to the user and opened SOW, below is the home page (Tier2/3 specialist landing page ) shown for the user.

When I add the same user to Service Desk group, then below is the landing page (Service desk landing page SNC) for the user. Strangely, we don't have any roles for the Service Desk group, but not able to understand how the home page or landing page is getting changed for the same user.

Hi @learn nv ,

You can go to your instance > UI Builder > Experiences > Service Operations Workspace

 

Select ExpeiencesSelect Expeiences

You'll be presented with all the landing pages(like below)

image.png Click on Settings and Edit your Audience.

- If you would like to have it based on specific roles etc., you can do so here.
