When I share the dashboard with the user, I expect them to be able to see the reports in that dashboard without sharing the individual reports with that user.

@AK28 I understand that you are saying about a situation where you are sharing dashboard with reports.
Here you can add a common role in all reports like itil, and then share dashboard with users.
If this does not work, i will suggest you to explain more about your scenario to help you.

@Abhay Kumar1
Thank you for your reply.
Here the expectation is through the catalog required user submits a request and automatically the dashboard will assign to the respective user with all report access to the respective dashboard. It's like one shot two birds.
I think here the challenging factor is to identify relationships between report and dashboard tables.
Any inputs on the above please share with me.

Hi,
you can share a dashboard with a user without sharing the individual reports by using the "Dashboard Viewer" or "Report Viewer" role. This role allows users to view and interact with the reports within a shared dashboard without granting them access to the individual reports.
To share a dashboard with a user:
- Navigate to the dashboard you wish to share.
- Click on the "Share" button in the upper-right corner of the screen.
- In the "Share Dashboard" dialog, add the user's name or group to the "Share with" field.
- Select the "Dashboard Viewer" or "Report Viewer" role from the "Role" dropdown.
- Choose the appropriate permission level from the "Permissions" dropdown.
- Click "Share" to grant the user access to the shared dashboard.
By this user will be able to see with that role
Please mark helpful or correct if its helping
Thank you
Vijay

No tbh it is not, I could only find the Role report_user ( Can create and view reports that have been shared with them. Cannot share, edit, or delete reports that have been shared with them.) I hope thats the correct one. If i now share the Dashboard with the usere and include the role report_user and afterwards maintain that the user also has the role report_user. The Reports in the Dashboard are not visuable. Still (Report visible only to a specific user or group). So what can i do diffrently ?
Because this logic ist just......
The Dashboard I have to share has like 20 Reports and I do not want to share them all manually.
