How to test HTMl text using ATF

Hi , 

I have a KB article in portal , I need to test the heading of the KB article . I have used step  Assert Text on Page (Custom UI) but this always says no text found . I suspect that text is of HTML format hence step is failing. I need help how to test the HTML text by using custom step.

I think the Asset Text checks for string and your text is HTML so possibly it's failing
