I need help on how to get the values given on a table to be used to calculate remaining totals when creating record(s) on another table and calculate depending on the row count of records created.
I have a table for total number of vehicles. That number will be used to calculate (most of the time is subtracting to show the (field) remaining number of vehicles. I have a table (Create vehicles) to manipulate the creation of record(s) and the records are created on another table (vehicle types). The user can change the total number of vehicles so I need to make sure to update the values of previously created records showing the actual number of remaining vehicles.
I tried using a business rule to us scratchpad (display) to grab the total number of vehicles then using an onChange client script to load that value. Another update before business rule to make the calculations between the rowCount of vehicle types minus the total number of vehicles but the values are not getting updated in the Create vehicle list view.
Any ideas will be greatly appreciated.
