ServiceNow Holiday Preference Portal
Background:
India is a diverse country with numerous regional holidays. Our HR department seeks to respect this diversity by enabling employees to customize their holidays. With ServiceNow as our chosen platform, we request your assistance in crafting this solution.

Challenge:
Holiday Selection:
Employees should select up to 6 holidays from a predefined list which includes festivals like Diwali, Holi, Eid, Christmas, etc.
Automatically include the 3 national holidays (26th January, 15th August, 2nd October).
If a national holiday lands on a weekend, prompt employees to choose an additional holiday.
Dynamic Constraints:
Each holiday from the predefined list has a "quota". An employee's selection is valid only if the quota isn’t exhausted. You're tasked with devising a logical quota allocation system.
User Interface:
Design a user-friendly UI for employees to pick holidays, view choices, and see each holiday's available quota.
HR must have a distinct view, facilitating quota adjustments and modifications to the holiday list.
Manager Approval:
Requests should be submitted a week ahead and need manager approval.
HR representatives can view new holiday suggestions from employees. These suggestions should be approved by a group, say "Regional HR Managers", before being added to the list.
Notifications:
Utilizing ServiceNow's notification system, remind employees and their managers a week before the selected holiday. The medium could be email, in-app alerts, or both.
Scalability:
Consider how easy it would be to extend this system to accommodate other countries with their unique holidays.
