I'd recommend also looking at the chrome extension "SN Utils" (it may be available on some other browsers too) -- just go to the chrome extension store or google 'sn utils' and should be able to find it quickly.

i wish i had found this when i first became an admin and think every admin should give it a try. so far two of my favorite uses are being able to plugin a SYSID and find the record, and it has a 'random mandatory field input' that i think could be handy as well when you're just trying to quickly test a form on the fly (it plugs in values for any mandatory field)
