Hi @ajayrakam15 ,
Try below steps:
1. Identify the Cause of Auto-Expiry
By default, Knowledge articles are filtered based on the valid_to date via:
- User Criteria
- Article State
- Search filters
- Knowledge blocks or widgets (in the Service Portal)
2. If Using the Platform UI (List View / KB Module)
No special logic hides expired articles in the platform unless you have a filter applied to the Knowledge base module.
- ✅ Check:
Go to Knowledge > Articles - Open the list filter. Remove or adjust conditions like:
- Valid to is after Today
- Workflow state is Published
If my response helped, please hit the 👍Thumb Icon and accept the solution so that it benefits future readers.
Regards,
Pratik

Hi @ajayrakam15,
To prevent a Knowledge Article from expiring, you need to set the value of the 'Valid to' field in the future.
Note that you can't leave the field blank as they will make the articles to not appear in the search results.
The valid to can be configured from the Knowledge Base.
Cheers

Well, I guess you can modify the 'Retire workflow' defined in the Knowledge Base to stop it from expiring which I wouldn't recommend.
Other option is to set the Article Validity to a very high number so that the article won't expire in the foreseeable future.
