I want to remove the unsubscribe link from change approval emails

Hi,

We don't want users to disable Change Request approval email notifications.

To do that I added the "Mandatory" and "Force Delivery" fields to the Notification form and set them to true for "Approval Request".

That keeps them from disabling Approval notifications from their user preference.

However, I cannot find where to remove the unsubscribe link in the email notification so they don't think they can unsubscribe by sending the formatted email.

I see the Email Layout called "Unsubscribe and Preferences" but I don't know how to unrelate that from the "Approval Request" notification which uses the email template of change.itil.approve.role.

Then if a user goes to their personal settings and clicks on Notifications they can't disable "Approvals" which is good, however what if they just disable the top option of "Allow Notifications"?   do I need to take away all users ability to disable "Allow Notifications" if so, how?

I think I answered my own question. If I look at the change.itil.approve.role template, there I can see it calls the Email layout of "Unsubscribe and Preference" if I blank out that field I'm going to bet it won't append the link.

You could also use "Preview Notification" to check that the email is changed as you'd like after you make the change:

Yes I found it. These fields were not on the forms by default. I had to add them to the forms. Now I can help others. I'm a Remedy developer who's becoming a SNOW developer.

If you go to the list view of notifications. There is column called mandatory.Y ou jjust need to make that column true for specified notifications. Hope this answer works. I tried on my own,it definitly works.
