I need assistance here, I want to make a notification to @Community Alums_name in additional comments or in work notes, I get know that there is OOB notification Activity Stream @Mention Email notification is available. I am confused how to use this OOB notification to our custom table. [confuse with whether should call through script include or any other method ]
1. And email body I should use Dear user (@Community Alums_name) how to get this user in body.

For the above question you need to follow the below steps: As shown in below image
1. under select variables please click on the + icon.
2. Now click the user variable under that select variable list. As shown in image point 3.
that all. The @mentioned user name you are able to see the on the body of the email.
