Implementing Service Catalog Functionality in the Mobile Agent App

Hello Community,

I hope you’re all doing well.

I’m currently working on a requirement where we need to enable Service Catalog functionality within the Mobile Agent app. I understand that Now Mobile is primarily designed for requesters to browse and submit catalog items, while Mobile Agent is mainly intended for fulfillers to manage assigned tasks and incidents.

However, due to specific business needs, I’ve been asked to explore the possibility of implementing or extending Service Catalog capabilities in the Mobile Agent app.

Has anyone tried or successfully implemented something similar? If so, could you please share your approach, any limitations you faced, or best practices to consider?

Any insights, documentation references, or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance for your time and support!

Best regards,

Charan

that should not be in Mobile Agent app for the agents.

I believe it's more of user training and informing business what OOTB mobile apps perform and what are their capabilities.

If they still require then you can replicate the same thing in Mobile Agent as that of Now Mobile for end users

Request experience in Now Mobile

But if you face challenges in that they I think even ServiceNow won't help as it deviates from the OOTB capability

@CharanV98428402 I agree with @Ankur Bawiskar  but it is technically possible because the backend architecture of now and Agent is same.

So if you include the applet/applet launcher (redirecting to service catalog) in agent app, it will work fine.

Also note that service catalogs in now or agent will open in the /mesp portal only. Mesp is a portal designed for mobile app while helps to open KB articles and catalog items.

What should be done:

1. Look for the applet or screen(now mobile) which you want to show on agent.

2. Add the applet/screen to launcher screen or section of Agent app and it should work.
