Inc created with a PTSK prefix

My incidents all start with INC.

Today I found an odd ball PTSK which is the prefix for my visual task board personal task. This one incident has a prefix of PTSK.

Has anyone ever seen a wrong prefix auto assigned to the wrong task type? It bothers me this happened.

Hi Mark,


                Under System Definition => number maintenance search for Incident table and see if prefix is INC and at the same time   PTSK is for Private Task table.

For clarity I can only find one record this happened on, but that is also why it bothers me.


I feel like the table crossed each other some way.


It is an incident and is on the incident table, but the number is a ptsk and in the ptsk number range.

May be user must have used Visual task board.

I do thank you and yes a Ptsk is made from a virtual task board.


In this case it was opened as an incident, as I can see that in the activity log.


The fields the user populated are not all on the private task on task boards.


Fields like: Incident state, priority,urgency are specific to the Incident table in my case as I do not have these exposed on the Ptsk form.
