Incident Number Hyperlink when exporting Records

Hello Experts,

Is   to possible to   automatically give hyperlink to incident number when the records are exported to excel.?

If you must, then I would go with the URL field approach identified earlier. Also let them know that the cost of doing this configuration for legacy purposes could be spent on developing an in-system report that gives them the real-time linking, drill-in capabilities, etc. Show them the benefits!

You could try something like this - it works for me


  1. Export records to excel
  2. Highlight/Select column with incident numbers (in Excel)
  3. In Excel go to Excel Tab and select links. On "Edit Hyperlink" copy your servicenow link (list of your incidents) in "Address field"
  4. Click OK to close it.

I'm trying to help someone with this question too. I'm thinking the best answer is to create a dashboard and send a link to the dashboard. Of course, that won't help for scheduled reports but this is the best solution I can think of.
