Incident Short Description is not visible for end user in Front End in ServicePortal

Hi All,

I have an doubt in Service Portal. I have configured OOB Create Incident Record Producer in one of the Widget.

When an End User creates an Incident, it gets created and displays on the homepage under My Open Incidents Widget.

But I have added some primary fields as Short description to be displayed and secondary field as "incident number" to be displayed.

Can anyone suggest me how to rectify this as per below screenshot.

I assume you have amended the widget instance options?

  1. Hold Ctrl then Right Click on Widget you want to amend
  2. Select "Instance Options" from the context menu

Your instance options shoud have Short Description as the Display field and Number, and whatever other fields you want displayed, as Secondary fields. Should look like the below:

If your user still can't see the fields then it is likely to be a permissions issue. You'll need to amend your incident table ACL's.

  1. Navigate to System Security > Access Control (ACL)
  2. Search for Name starting with incident
  3. Check that user has the correct permissions to at least read the incident.short_description ACL.
  4. If you need to amend an ACL you will need to have the security_admin role and elevate your privileges.

Let me know if this worked for you.

Thanks

Brent

Hello,

Maybe is a bit late to answer, but might help anyone else.

I solved this by going to Service Catalog > My Request Filter and selected mine. Down the page you will select the primary and the secondary fields to display in My Requests list.
