Instruction field of Task activity in workflow

Hi All,

could some one help me on instructions of below screenshot , where it will be in task

I dont see any field with instructions.

Hi

They normally output into the short description field of the task created. However you can have customisations

A quick look on a personal dev instance showed that the "Service Catalog Item Request" workflow has tasks generated.

Raise a request for access software - all demo data and it will show a catalog task attached to a RITM that carries the instrustions in the short description field and in the description field

Note the short description has a task level dictionary entry limiting it's size so long instructions get clipped there

are you trying this out in a personal dev instance?

I just tried it on mine, it's Kingston, and it's a simple as going to the IT service catalogue and raising a request for the software called access.

Out of the box with demo data it outputs to the short description field and the description field.

However your workflow may be different to the out of the box one so it may be helpful if you posted your entire workflow so it can be seen.

So the picture of the whole workflow

and on the "task to Unix team" activity you showed is there anything in the advanced script section?
