Integrating Position Hierarchies of MS Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations in SN

I am new to ServiceNow (and MS Dynamics 365) and I am seeking advice on how to integrate the position hierarchies of employees of MS Dynamics 365 Finance and Operation in ServiceNow. The goal is to achieve a workflow that includes approvals based on position hierarchies of each employee e.g. for ordering items that exceed a cost limit.

Can anybody provide me some advice on:

  • How to daily sync data from MS Dynamics 365 to SN ? Are there APIs ? Should the MS Dynamics 365 FO Spoke (available in the app store) be used for this? Can this be achieved in a different way?
  • Where to store this additional user information (position hierarchy)? Is extending the sys_user table a viable solution?
