Interactive Filter for Owned By of Release Configuration Item

I am trying to create an interactive filter for service owner but I can't dotwalk through the interactive filter to get to the right reference. I have a reference interactive filter on sys_user. 

This dotwalking works

but I can't dotwalk to sys_class_name=rm_release^cmdb_ci.ref_cmdb_ci_service.owned_by=...

Since there was no response I had to use a custom interactive filter and script it.
