Interactive Filter in dashboard with custom variable in variables of requested item

Hi, I'm trying to do interactive filter in an dashboard that is run on a custom variable in variables of requested item. The problem is I can't choose the variables as in report were you can choose columns, the label then says: Common:Variable.
