What is an Interactive Filter?

Interactive Filter allows you to report on a dashboard without modifying the original reports. This enhances the user experience by providing a more interactive and flexible way to explore data. For reporting purposes, therefore, many users would like to have at least interactive filters on a dashboard that can be used to reduce a list based on the selected elements. As an administrator, you can create custom interactive filter widgets to provide advanced filtering options on dashboards. You can create Interactive Filters for multiple field types such as Choice list, Reference, Date, Cascading filter, etc.

How to create and add an interactive filter widget to a responsive dashboard?

You must have edit access to the dashboard if you want to add the widget. Also, interactive filters must be based on the same tables as the reports they filter.

Example to demonstrate the creation of an interactive filter “Change Priority” on the Change Request Table.

Navigate to Dashboard.

Open any dashboard of your choice.

Click the add content icon (+).

Select the Choice list type of filter.

Select the filter you want to add.

Click Add or drag the filter onto the dashboard.
