Invalid Reference error is coming when entering the value manually in the reference field.

Hi All,

I have a reference field in the scoped application and the reference table is in the global application. I am able to select the value from the reference table by using the Lookup icon but While entering the value in the reference field manually it is giving me the "Invalid Reference" error.

Does your reference field have auto-complete enabled? Normally when you start typing the field should return potential matches, you can then select the appropriate one.

I tend to get variable results when i just type the value in and hit save, sometimes it does the lookup in time and sets the field properly, sometimes the form submits before the lookup has completed and it returns an invalid reference like you are seeing.

I now make sure i select the option from the suggested matches the field returns to ensure it gets set properly every time.
