Hi @Vaibhav Ramteke

For Change Requests, the purpose of the Category field is to classify what the change is being submitted against. It often works as a dependent dropdown (for example, Hardware, Software, or Network) and drives the available subcategories based on the selected category.

Start by checking where the Category field is used (workflows, rules, reports, integrations) and review the existing categories. This will help you understand its purpose before making any changes.

@Vaibhav Ramteke

category field tells this CHG is for which type i.e. Software, Hardware, etc

Note: Out of the box there is no subcategory field on CHG
