Invoice number can be searchable from global search

Hi Team,

I have one field Invoice Number (Integer) on Rejection form,  and when i put Invoice Number on Global search, the Rejection form should be open.

can anyone please help me how to achieve this in Customer Application.

The only thing is that I also wanted to be able to search on dot-walked fields and seems like it's not possible...or at least I have not found a way a to make it work.
