Hi everyone,
I have a requirement for a client where we have two separate portals:
Student Portal
Staff Portal
Both portals use the same Knowledge articles, and all Knowledge articles should remain available/searchable for both audiences. We do not want to filter out or restrict any articles based on whether the user is a Student or Staff member. However, we want the ranking/recommendations of the Knowledge articles to be different on each portal.
For example:
On the Student Portal, we want Knowledge articles to be ranked/recommended based on Student search/recommendation behaviour.
On the Staff Portal, we want the same Knowledge articles to be ranked/recommended based on Staff search/recommendation behaviour.
So, essentially, the article availability should remain the same, but the ranking/recommendation order should be different depending on the portal/user audience.
We are currently looking at AI Search / Search Profiles / Result Improvement Rules (RIR) and are trying to understand the best way to achieve this.
What would be the recommended approach to achieve this requirement?
Any guidance or examples of a recommended configuration would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you in advance.
