We'd like to schedule periodic clones to copy our production down to our test instance every weekend. We've been doing this manually, but I'd like to set up a schedule to do this periodically. Anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks,
Dan

I'm all for automation but if you forget to backup your update sets - ugh! We try for month clones, as long as everyone can backup their update sets.

Good point. It does require a bit of discipline. We have multiple test instances; our plan is to designate one of the instances to be as close as possible to the production instance. We'll use it to do a final test before moving anything to production. It should therefore never be the main repository for update sets.

Not sure if you've upgraded or will upgrade to NY, But I thought this is pretty interesting.
