Is it possible to submit and complete a catalog request without getting to Task table?

Is it possible to have an end user submit request on the portal and the catalog request can be completed on the Requested item table without getting to Task table?

A customer was asking if that is possible that she would rather reduce the work load close complete a request on the RITM than having it generate an task to further going in the task table to complete.

Yes @Fredy Voke  that is possible but not ideal if there are team multiple teams involve. If it is automated resolution then no need of task.

It is possible, but not sure why you would like to do that? Basic setup from ServiceNow is, that you work on task level and not the requested item level.
