Is there a way reporting on the size of each table in Service Now? Can data be compressed?

Hi,

We are looking to setup data archiving and deletion on our instances.

* Is there a way reporting on the size of each table in Service Now?
* Can data be compressed?

Thanks.

There is a storage limit embeded into most contracts. If you’ve been using Service now for a while the threshold can be breached. However I found on service now support the database footprint catalogue item can be requested which reports the top 10 tables by size.

I believe support can provide you with this info. Data Archiving is the way to go if your operational tables are large.

Just out of curiosity why do you care about the size of a table or if its compressed or not?  Is ServiceNow charging you for disk space in your contract?

Good point, tables are partitioned once they hit a threshold.

For archival, it is suggested to move the data based on a time range, such as All Server CIs that are Non Operational and Retired and are not updated in last 6 months (or something of that sort)
