Is there a way to direct link (URL) to a dashboard?

Is there a way to direct link to dashboard with a URL. Like a published report but a dashboard?

I have a requirement for this, anyone been able to achieve something like this?

I have found a way to do this, using the sys_id of the homepage in the below URL. 

https://INSTANCE.service-now.com/home.do?sysparm_userpref_homepage=7805a9a10f08d7c434b59acae1050eb6

However this changes your default homepage to the same as the URL. I have tried removing the parameter sysparm_userpref but that just directs you to your homepage. 

Any idea how we can view the homepage with a URL without setting it as your default preference.

If you're using Dashboards (not the same thing as homepages), open up the dashboard, click on the hamburger menu and select copy dashboard URL.
