isplay Article Counts Inside Star Icons for KB Categories (Employee Center)

On the Knowledge page in Employee Center, we need to enhance the KB Categories section within the  widget to display numeric values inside the star icons.

Current Behaviour

  • KB Categories are displayed with star icons.
  • The star icons do not display any numbers, so users cannot easily determine how many knowledge articles exist within each category.

Desired Behaviour

  • Each star icon should display a number inside the star.
  • The number should represent the count of published knowledge articles associated with that category.
  • The count should:
    • Respect user access and permissions
    • Include only published and valid articles
    • Exclude retired, expired, or draft articles

It is not feasible .

 

Better do reporting for rating on kb_feedback table  and share with client.

Note: In ServiceNow, the rating field in the kb_feedback table represents a numeric, star-based rating provided by users to assess the effectiveness or quality of a Knowledge Article
