Hey all
I have a simple but nicely working Jira integration for our ServiceNow stories, looking at further developing it out.
Was wondering if anyone had any success with creating a Jira sub tasks and relating it to its parent task in jira
So I raise a Kanban story type in snow, this currently creates the story task type in Jira (using the create issue action). I was then looking to raise the 3 story tasks in snow as 3 subtasks off that Jira story. I cant see how to relate the subtask to the jira parent because the 'create issue' action doesn't allow for correlation id anywhere.
Thanks peeps

Figured out how to do this
On the create issue action you add the additional field 'parent' and put correlation ID of the parent issue
It then creates the subtasks under that issue

Hi @CandyDee ,
Would you be open to try another 3rd Party Integration Solution like Exalate?
Exalate is easy and straightforward to set-up and you can control exactly which data you want to send and/or receive.
With the script mode you can sync Tasks/Subtasks between Jira and ServiceNow and also preserve linkages between them.
If you would like to see a customized demo of the product, please book a slot.
Also, please be known that I am working as a pre-sales engineer with Exalate.
Cheers, Dhiren
